Corporate Identity Lauretum

[degree project]

To obtain a degree in Graphic Design, one of the projects in the last year was to design a corporate identity. The entire process of finding a client, meetings, documenting your work, getting quotes from printers, follow up and writing reports and logbooks was covered in this project. I designed the new idenity for Lauretum, an exclusive laurel tree nursery in Jabbeke (near Bruges). To accentuate the hand-labor in this industry, I used the water colour-technique for the logo and font-set. Unfortunatley, the company decided to hire an establised designer as opposed to a 3rd year design-student. This resulted in my work not actually being printed, although this was the initial brief.

Chicken Rhythm

Chicken Rhythm is a new Belgian label that collaborates with graphic designers and illustrators to create unique, limited edition collections for children between 1 and 6 years old. The owner of this label asked me to create a fun & exciting user interface for her website.

Usability study for the new graphic user interface for PriFIS

[analysis, usability studies, essay, graphic design]

Essay written as final project for the 2004 Usability Design Course at the Koninklijke Universiteit Leuven (KUL). The students were asked to put one part of the usability design process into practice and write the necessary reports. I designed the new interface for PriFIS, the Price and Fares Information System. This is the first European system integrating price and tariff information with time schedules and this for the general public and professionals.

Political party

[graphic design]

A friend of mine run for the provincial and municipal elections in October 2006. I was given carte blanche for her personal flyer, a flyer for the provincial candidates and one for the local candidates. The whole party did good that elections and my friend got elected to deputy mayor of youth. If that was due to my flyers, one shall never know...
